Become a Volunteer!

SafeSpot Children’s Advocacy Center of Fairfax County is looking for the support of passionate individuals to help our clients feel safe and taken care of.  Come participate in one of our monthly Volunteer Orientations with our Program Coordinator. Our clients need some extra help while they wait for their appointments, before and after they meet with the variety of professionals working at our center. You can be that person who accompanies a family in need.

Our volunteer orientations are hosted through Zoom every last Tuesday of the month from 12:00pm till 1:00pm. Please fill out the upcoming application and mark your calendar for our next orientation date! If this schedule doesn’t work for you, please contact our Program Coordinator, and they may be able to set up a one-on-one meeting with you at a different time. You can email Artemis Silva, SafeSpot’s Program Coordinator, for any questions or concerns about volunteering at asilva@safespotfairfax.org.

 Volunteers at SafeSpot will be:
·       Greeting clients and answering phone calls at the center’s reception area.
·       Maintain waiting areas tidy, clean, and sanitized.
·       Organize and offer snacks to clients and caregivers.
·       Supervising child clients while caregivers are not present in the waiting room.
·       Inform staff of any major concerns or questions coming from clients or themselves.
·       Support the Administrative Team in other side projects.
