Emily Robinson currently serves as the Director of Communications and Public Education at SCAN of Northern Virginia. Emily leads SCAN’s brand development, marketing, communication efforts, and public outreach. Emily is a trained CASA volunteer and Darkness to Light Stewards of Children Facilitator. Her background in child protection began at the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children, where she led Marketing and Graphic Design. A Massachusetts native, Emily received her BA in English Literature from Framingham State University and has since dedicated her career to helping national and international nonprofits succeed in public engagement and communications. Most weekends you’ll find her walking her dog in Del Ray, Alexandria or thrifting throughout NOVA.
