Today, we’re asking for your support to help ensure that no child or family misses a SafeSpot appointment because they don’t have a way to get there. Your gift to the Safe Journeys Start Here Campaign helps provide transportation to SafeSpot’s therapy, advocacy, and support services, connecting children and families to the care they need to heal.
In 2025 alone, SafeSpot provided 435 rides for children and families accessing our services. With demand continuing to grow, we expect to exceed that amount this year. Our campaign goal of $15,000 will help provide 6 months of transportation, ensuring children and caregivers can access the therapy, advocacy, and support services they need on their healing journey.
Imagine a child ready to begin healing. A therapy appointment is on the calendar. A caregiver is preparing to attend a support group and connect with others who understand. A teen is eager to see the friends she has made through Girls Group. The support they need is waiting. The path to healing is clear.
But there is one problem: they don’t have reliable transportation.
For many of the children and families served by SafeSpot, getting to an appointment isn’t as simple as getting in a car and driving across town. Transportation challenges can mean missed appointments, delayed services, and additional barriers during an already difficult time.
That’s where you come in.
Every gift helps provide a safe, reliable ride to SafeSpot, ensuring children and families can access therapy, advocacy, and support services without the barrier of no transportation standing in the way. A ride may seem like a small thing, but for the families we serve, it can mean the difference between missing an appointment and receiving life-changing care.
