SafeSpot Named 2026 Healing in Action Amplify Award Honoree!

SafeSpot Children’s Advocacy Center of Fairfax County has been named the 2026 Healing in Action Amplify Award Honoree by Voices for Virginia’s Children!

The Amplify Awards recognize individuals, organizations, and groups whose advocacy helps build stronger, more equitable communities. The Healing in Action Award honors an organization or group that creates meaningful spaces for healing and support for young people and families. SafeSpot was selected in recognition of its “deeply impactful, intentional, and healing work” with children and families.

“We are incredibly honored to be recognized as the 2026 Healing in Action Award Honoree,” said Heather O’Malley, CEO of SafeSpot Children’s Advocacy Center. “Every day, our team has the privilege of walking alongside children and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. This recognition is especially meaningful because healing is at the heart of everything we do. It is made possible through the compassionate care, collaboration, and commitment of our staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters.”

A Celebration of Healing

This award is a meaningful recognition of the work happening every day at SafeSpot and the community of people who make that work possible.

Healing is at the heart of what we do, and it is a journey that no child or family should have to navigate alone. We are grateful for the dedicated staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters who continue to stand alongside SafeSpot and the children and families we serve.

We are honored to receive this recognition and proud to celebrate the collective commitment to creating safer, more supportive communities for children and families.

SafeSpot will be recognized alongside the other 2026 Amplify Awards honorees at the 2026 Amplify Awards Breakfast on Thursday, October 8, in Richmond, Virginia.

Thank you for helping us continue this important work and for being part of the SafeSpot community.
